Responsible to teach elective courses in printmaking and team-teach in the undergraduate Printmaking and Drawing major. Salary commensurate with experience. Includes benefits. Qualifications: An MFA with college level teaching experience in printmaking; a strong commitment to studio practice as evidenced by developing exhibition record; a demonstrated ability and interest in experimental, mixed media, and non-traditional approaches to printmaking, drawing, and/or papermaking; an ability to teach a range of processes that may include etching, collagraph, lithography, relief, and monoprinting. Strengths in screen printing and digital applications as they interface with traditional processes desirable. | The Fabric Workshop and Museum Project Coordinator / Master Printer | Job Title: Project Coordinator/ Master Printer Full time with benefits
The Fabric Workshop and Museum (FWM) is the only non-profit arts organization in the United States devoted to creating new work in new materials and new media in collaboration with emerging, nationally, and internationally recognized artists. The FWM seeks qualified candidates to fill the position of Project Coordinator/Master Printer. The FWM has collaborated with such artists as Carrie Mae Weems, James Luna, Kiki Smith, Roy Lichtenstien, Jun Kaneko, Ed Ruscha, Louise Bourgeois and many others.
Position Summary Primary responsibilities include the management of Artist in Residence Projects and assisting other Project Coordinators with Artist in Residence projects. The applicant should possess proficient printmaking skills and the ability to maintain production, and assist in creation of Artist Multiples
Responsibilities: The applicant must possess the ability to prepare and manage budgets, work within strict deadlines, provide research, and problem solve to aid in completion of Artist in Residence projects. The applicant should possess ability to manage outside contractors, interns, to create a clear line of communication between departments regarding scheduling and project updates of Artist in Residence projects. Project updates are required and to be provided to Development, PR, Archives, Education, and Finance.
This position requires that personnel work closely with the Shop Manager and Artistic Director to maintain a shop production schedule.
Additional Responsibilities: Studio Maintenance and Repair Equipment repairs Inventory and order supplies General space repairs Assist with special events and programs Provide additional resource to apprentice programs. . University of North Carolina Asheville Department of Art Assistant Professor - Tenure Track | | University of North Carolina Asheville Department of Art seeks applicants for a foundations position, Assistant Professor - Tenure Track. Applicants must have completed their MFA and have a minimum of two years teaching experience beyond the graduate assistant level.
Teaching responsibilities for this position will include: beginning and intermediate drawing and life drawing, two-dimensional design (including color theory) and a preferred secondary emphasis in lithography.
Candidate must have record of active and ongoing professional accomplishments. A candidate’s professional work must demonstrate a primary interest in drawing and design with a secondary interest in lithography preferred. Candidate must have a working knowledge of current Macintosh computer graphic application programs.
Teaching portfolio should contain examples of foundation class assignments in beginning and intermediate drawing (including linear perspective), life drawing, two-dimensional design assignments including painting and color theory with secondary teaching assignments in beginning and intermediate lithography preferred. Candidates’ teaching portfolio should demonstrate experience in undergraduate teaching with emphasis on skill, composition, and conceptual development.

The School of Art and Design at Wichita State University is searching
for a printmaking artist to direct the printmaking program. Our MFA
in Art/Printmaking degree is the oldest in Kansas. The facility for
prints is quite generous: Etching Studio - 4 presses, separate acid
room, dust box, step shear, and spray booth; Lithography Studio - 3
presses, grinding sink, processing tables, stones, plate supports,
and editioning tables; Relief/Digital Studio - 3 computer
workstations with scanners and large scale printers, relief tables
and critique walls; Papermaking Studio - large beater, sinks,
screens, vats, and paper casting molds, In graphic design: 2 twenty
station computer labs, separate type lab with 5 presses and type. The
new printmaker will have a 546 sq ft studio/office near the
printmaking studios. The printmaking program is supported by three
graduate teaching assistants, one printmaking fellowship, and a
printmaking endowment to provide undergraduate scholarships. Graduate
students have individual studios. The McKnight Art Center and Henrion
Hall are used exclusively by the School of Art and Design and the
Ulrich Museum of Art to provide learning opportunities for 370 art
and design majors, as well 250 non-majors, each semester.
This printmaking position provides a wonderful opportunity for
someone to further develop an established and well respected print
